That's great, but the question what actually caused this is somewhat still unanswered. SUBKEY: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters

To resolve this you have to add a registry key to each affected server and reboot it afterwards: Which in our case was true, the printer is in a different subnet than the server it scans to. This article talks about a change in security behavior whenever there is SMB traffic over Netbios to a different subnet.

The dealer insisted to figure out what the reason was why I wanted to upgrade the firmware, and after a few mails we figured together with the Canon KB articles that it was most likely a Windows update causing this: KB3161949 Through our printer dealer I tried to obtain the latest firmware, as we noticed that both printers were quite outdated. How tightly do you control the browsers you allow and what are your must do settings? I am getting push back on no autofill.Well then, it seems to be resolved, or at least I got it working again.

Thoughts? looking for other things to check etc, Thanks in advance. To me it seems to be a setting(s) on Server core 2019. I have set up the server core server as the SMB server and the copier as the SMB client. What else can I try? I am missing something or do not have the right combination set. I have tried searching for the folder with an actual user account on the copier.and that does not work either. If I check the logs on the copiers I see error 801. When we scan from the copier the message on the screen says check server. We also have smb1,2 and 3 turned on on the copier and NTLM v1/v2 checked off. This is the account we use to set up the Canon address book for each user, We have also tried turning off the firewall - but still no success.

I have added a scan user account with full control to the share and sub folders. We have encryption enabled on the server. Users can access their files on the server without issue. I have a Canon imagerunner c5550i iii, and am trying to set up scanning to a share on a new Server 2019 core.
